Potato Donuts Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams of all-purpose flour

  • 500 grams of steamed potatoes, mashed

  • 1 packet of instant yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon of bread improver

  • 4 egg yolks

  • 250 ml of warm milk

  • 75 grams of margarine, melted

Instructions:

  1. Combine flour, mashed potatoes, instant yeast, bread improver, and egg yolks. Mix while gradually pouring in the warm milk until well blended. Add melted margarine and continue kneading until the dough is no longer sticky.

  2. Shape the dough into a ball, cover with a cloth, and let it rest for 30 minutes until it doubles in size.

  3. Punch down the dough and knead again briefly. Cover and let it rest for another 15 minutes until it rises again.

  4. Punch down the dough and weigh out 40 grams each. Shape into balls and place them on a lightly floured plate. Let them rest for 10 minutes.

  5. Heat plenty of oil in a pan. Using a wooden chopstick, poke a hole in the center of each dough ball and twirl it to form a ring.

  6. Fry the donuts until golden brown. Remove and drain. Serve warm.
